2025 Fishing Reports

Water Temperature is very cold. Lots of cold, dry conditions. No weeds in the lake yet. Ice came off in April, but the temps stayed cold, water has not warmed up.

Northern Pike Fishing

Pike fishing was on fire. Everyone was catching pike on everything. Spoons, spinners, crawler harnesses, everything is working.

Crappie Fishing

Crappie fishing is slow. Water needs to warm up a little.

Walleye Fishing

Several walleye caught, but hard to find a pattern. Most people are catching walleyes on bobbers.

Bass Fishing

Excellent bass fishing this weekend. Chatterbaits and crankbaits have been the hot ticket. Deeper water just off rockpiles and points have been the best spots.

Northern Pike Fishing

Pike are being caught, mostly smaller(20-25 inches long), but lots of action. The pike are very aggressive right now.

Crappie Fishing

Crappie bite finally started. It is not on fire yet, but we are catching them. You can see the crappies finning on the surface, next week should be very good fishing for crappie.

Walleye Fishing

Walleye bite really picked up this week. Slow trolling live bait on a crawler rig or a bobber with a leech has been best. Several upper 20 inch walleyes were caught this week.

Bass Fishing

Lots of big bass, especially largemouth bass, being caught. Senkos in natural colors(especially watermelon) as well as jerkbaits and chatterbaits have been best.

Northern Pike Fishing

Northern pike fishing continues to be very good. We did have some larger pike landed this week. The big pike of the week was 38 inches long.

Crappie Fishing

Crappie fishing has taken off. Bobbers with small minnows, hair jigs and beetle spins have been best.

Walleye Fishing

Walleye fishing has been decent to good. Weather has stabalized and walleye fisherman are working trolling patterns on sand flats.

Bass Fishing

Bass are in a pre-spawn bite. Ned rigs are very hot as are jerk baits and soft plastics. Some rumors of top water.

Northern Pike Fishing

No one targeted pike this week but many people compained about catching them while fishing for walleye or bass.

Crappie Fishing

Crappie bite hasn’t slowed yet. Will probably start slowing soon, but right now we are getting them on slip bobbers off the edge of rock piles.

Bluegill Fishing

Bluegills continue to come in. Nothing really big, lots of 8 inch bluegills being caught. Fishing on the dock has been good for young kids wanting to catch bluegills. Leeches are working best for bluegills.

Walleye Fishing

Walleye fishing was pretty good this week. Lots of eater walleyes and several over 20 inches long, including a 29 incher were landed. Two young anglers caught their first walleyes ever this week. Fishing in the evening has been best.

Bass Fishing

Lots of good bass fishing this week. Bass are being caught in 4-8 feet of water. Soft plastics seem to be best right now. Chatterbaits are probably next best. Smallmouth seem to be on beds. Ned rigs are good.

Weather was very poor this week. Lots of storms and high winds. Most days were were unable to get out on the water. Air temperatures were in the 40s and the water temperature dropped 12 degrees this week. With as bad as the weather was, the bass fishing was pretty good on the days we could get on the water. The fish are biting shallow around lily pads and such. Once the water warms up again, the other species should take off again.

The weather was amazing this week. Low winds, daytime highs in the 70s and light bugs. Fishing really improved this week. Lots and lots of good bluegills and crappie were caught this week. Bobbers over weed beds seemed best for bluegills. Wax worms and leeches were best. Slip bobbers with minnows were good for crappie. Bass fishing continued to lead the way, especially when using soft plastics rigged Texas style on rock piles. Walleye fishing seemed decent.

Northern Pike Fishing

Reports are lots of pike being caught while targeting other fish species. Weed levels are still relatively low, spinners and spoons would be good.

Crappie Fishing

Crappie fishing looks like it might be slowing down a little, but still a lot being caught.

Bluegill Fishing

Bluegills are being caught by everyone. Jigs with twister tails, bobbers and beetle spins seem best. Live bait is excellent. Especially wax worms, cut up night crawlers and leeches.

Walleye Fishing

Several good walleyes were reported.

Bass Fishing

Bass fishing is insane right now. Top water as well as soft plastics are excellent. Rootbeer, watermelon with purple and other natural colors are best for soft plastics.
