If you’re looking for a remote, family-focused getaway, Birch Forest Lodge is perfect for you. We offer a variety of cabin options that provide our guests with a comfortable and spacious stay. While our cabins offer guests plenty of room and comfort, we don’t strive for 5-star amenities and dining. Our cabins reflect the idyllic outdoor scene at beautiful Pelican Lake, where our resort is located.
Comfortable Minnesota Lakeside Cabins
Minnesota Vacation Cabin Rentals
We know that not all families or groups of travelers are the same, which is why we offer our guests a range of cabin options. We have one 1-bedroom cabin, seven 2-bedroom cabins, three 3-bedroom cabins and a new 4-bedroom 2 bathroom cabin for guests to select from. In addition to the cabins, we also have one motel style lodge room above the main lodge. Each of our cabins are built of wood and feature a cozy and lodge-like aesthetic that you’d expect in Northern Minnesota. Some of the cabins present a modern style equipped with a dishwasher, while others feature a more traditional style of cabin. All of the cabins are equipped with A/C and provide guests with free access to canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards to be enjoyed on the lake. For those who need to check in or do some work, our resort also offers free wifi!
While the cabins are unique in size and layout, all of our cabins come with a complete kitchen, including a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots and pans and all eating and cooking utensils you need to make a family meal during your stay. Would you rather prepare your meal outside? No problem, each of our cabins feature picnic tables and a charcoal grill. Additionally, all of the cabins have a bathroom with a shower to clean up after a day at the lake. All beds are complete with fresh bed linens and pillows.
While you’ll need to remember to bring bath towels and washcloths for your stay at Birch Forest, we got you covered on dish soap, toilet paper, and garbage bags at no additional cost.
The comfort of our guests is among our highest priorities, which is why we do not allow smoking in the cabins. Also, pets are not allowed on the resort property.
Seasonal Rates and Length of Stay
To rent any of our twelve cabins, we do require 3-night minimum during the spring and fall seasons. During June and July, our cabins are rented on weekly basis running from Saturday to Saturday.
Our spring season begins the Friday night before the Minnesota Fishing Opener and runs through the Friday before Memorial Day. Summer season begins Memorial Day weekend and runs through the second Saturday in August. The late summer season starts in mid August and goes until Labor Day. From Labor Day until the first weekend of October is our fall season. From early October until the following May, Birch Forest Lodge is closed for the winter. During the winter our family operates a small travel agency as we take groups to places such as Belize, Costa Rica and the Amazon River.
Guests can check in to our cabins anytime after 2:00 p.m. on the day of their arrival. Check out is at 9:00 a.m. on the day of departure except on Saturdays during the peak summer season. During the peak season we ask that you check out by 8 am.
