September 2022 Fishing Report
Water temp has been warm this fall, temps dropped to 65 this week. This weekend is supposed to be cool so I expect to have lake surface temps down to almost 60 degrees by next weekend. That will be good for the walleye and crappie fishing. Bass fishing has been excellent. Lots of nice bass caught so far this month. Top water lures such as the whopper plopper have been phenomenal. Crappie are biting in deeper water, around 20 feet. Jigging with a minnow or trolling a worm has been okay for walleye. Pike are hitting mepps black fury lures. Bluegill are best with a slip bobber and a worm. Here is our latest youtube fishing report…
