Fishing Report for late May
Fishing for the second half of May was really hot. The water quickly warmed up due to the 80 degree air temperatures and our surface temps were in the low 60s and even mid 60s by the end of the month. The crappie bite was especially good in 4-8 feet of water off of rock piles. Lots of large bass were caught including several at or above 6 pounds. Many 15-19 inch walleyes were caught along with a few mid 20 inchers. Very few perch were caught. Lots and lots of 24 inch northern pikes were consistently caught.
